NegaWATT
Less is MORE!The intangible measure NegaWATT: less is MORE! aims to use the increasingly popular strategy of gamification in education to promote the concepts of "negawatt," "energy sufficiency," "energy efficiency," and "renewable energies" through daily challenges using quizzes and voluntary tasks that involve everyday situations and corresponding choices, helping to reflect on the surrounding community and promoting greater environmental awareness, targeting students in the 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic education.
H2O Efficiency
Eficiência Energética nos Sistemas de Bombagem de ÁguaThe tangible measure “EficiênciaH20 – Eficiência Energética nos Sistemas de Bombagem de Água” has the objective to intervene in a cross-cutting manner in three types of existing pumping systems, which make up the majority of the municipalities' pump fleet, whether in their buildings or in the public water supply.
EduLUX 2,3+
Energy Efficiency in School Interior LightingThe tangible measure “EduLUX 2, 3+ – Eficiência Energética na Iluminação Interior de Escolas” aims to improve energy efficiency in interior lighting in at least 51 schools (both middle and high schools, some of which are also secondary schools) and higher education institutions (in the case of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal) in the municipalities of Barreiro, Moita, Montijo, Alcochete, Setúbal, Palmela, Sesimbra, and Loures, also contributing to improving the comfort and visibility conditions for users in the areas where interventions are carried out.
Energy Notebook
Tool for energy management and optimization in buildingsThe intangible measure "Energy Notebook – A tool for energy management and optimization in buildings", intends to create a roadmap for the energy efficiency of buildings supported by an Information and Interaction Platform, which contains the definition of a set of processes and methodologies, as well as informational, physical and IT resources. It corresponds to an intangible measure that will be nominated for competition by promoters that are not companies in the electricity or gas sector.
Transition Point + Close
Pilot projectThe pilot project "Transition Point" was an initiative of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in partnership with ENA – Arrábida Energy and Environment Agency, CENSE – Research Centre for Environment and Sustainability (FCT-UNL) and RNAE – Association of Energy and Environment Agencies (National Network). After the pilot phase implemented in several locations in Setúbal, Palmela and Sesimbra, as a “Transition Point”, the concept was replicated as a “+NEAREST Transition Point”, funded by the EPAH – Energy Poverty Advisory Hub of the European Commission, covering the municipalities of Barreiro, Moita, Montijo and Alcochete for a period of 6 months.
PROSPECT
Peer-powered cities and regionsThe overall objective of the European PROSPECT project is to empower peer learning among local and regional public authorities (Municipalities, Regions, Intermunicipal Communities, Provinces, Associations of Municipalities) across Europe, in innovative financing mechanisms for implementing energy efficiency measures, contributing to the implementation of their sustainable energy plans.
GaME
The Best School WinsThe GaME initiative involved final-year students from the 3rd cycle of basic education, high school, and vocational training in managing their school's energy. It provided them with tools that allowed them to conduct a simplified energy audit of the school and subsequently develop a "Consumption Rationalization Plan" implementing several measures to improve energy use. Simultaneously, they participated in a competition among participating schools, which operated on a points system, with points awarded for each task completed, and prizes given to the winners at the end.
EduLux
Energy efficiency in indoor lighting for Primary SchoolsThis application aims to improve energy efficiency in interior lighting in 174 primary schools (1st cycle) in the municipalities of Barreiro, Moita, Montijo, Setúbal, Palmela, Sesimbra, Seixal and Loures, also contributing to improved comfort and visibility conditions for users in the areas where interventions are carried out. The implementation of this measure foresees the replacement of at least 19,269 T8 fluorescent tube lamps with LED tube lamps.
Solidarity Energy Efficiency
Project aimed at IPSS’sS.ENERGIA is a partner in the intangible measure "Solidarity Energy Efficiency," a project aimed at non-profit social solidarity institutions, 100% funded by the ERSE's PPEC 2017-2018 program, and promoted by AREAC – the Regional Energy and Environment Agency of the Central Region.
Winds of Savings 2
Energy + SocialThe measure consists of developing an inter-school competition in the regions and municipalities covered by the participating Energy Agencies among young people in the 3rd cycle of basic education, secondary education, vocational and/or artistic education, and private social solidarity institutions (IPSS) in the regions covered. This competition aims to stimulate, through students and the entire inherent social chain (families, teachers, their respective students and communities), the adoption of good practices through self-awareness of existing energy consumption, and solutions for reducing consumption and rationalizing energy use.
Know & Act
Platform for measuring and reporting electricity consumption. The "Know & Act" initiative aims to provide municipal employees and residents of the municipalities covered by the energy agency consortium with relevant information about the energy performance of municipal administrative buildings, specifically regarding electricity consumption, promoting the adoption of more efficient behaviors that demonstrate the resulting benefits.
EcoFirefighters
Raising awareness about energy efficiency in fire stations. The "Eco-Firefighters - Raising Awareness of Energy Efficiency in Fire Stations" initiative aims to promote an awareness campaign for energy efficiency in fire stations, taking the form of a competition that will reward the most energy-efficient fire stations among the existing fire departments in the partners' area of intervention.
EEMSMEs
Electrical Energy Management in Small and Medium-Sized EnterprisesThe measure aims primarily to provide SMEs in the industrial sector with methodologies for systematic energy management, which will help SME managers to effectively manage the energy they acquire and lead to improved competitiveness for their organization. Within this scope, approximately 40 energy audits are currently underway for SMEs based in the districts of Braga, Porto, Setúbal, Lisbon, Portalegre, and Évora.
RecOil
Promotion of used cooking oil conversion to biodieselThe RecOil project was a European initiative supported by the European Commission through the Smart Energy in Europe Programme, which aimed to increase the sustainable production of biodiesel and its incorporation into the local market by increasing the collection and processing of used cooking oil from the domestic sector.
YEL
Young Energy LeadersThe Young Energy Leaders (YEL) program is a project promoted by RNAE – the National Network of Energy and Environment Agencies. It is a measure funded under the Plan for Promoting Efficiency in Electricity Consumption (PPEC), approved by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority.
ECOSAVE
RePECEE
Network for Promoting Efficiency in Electricity ConsumptionRePECEE is a measure approved within the scope of the PPEC (Plan for the Promotion of Efficiency in Consumption), promoted by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) in 2009-2010. The objective of RePECEE is to contribute to the promotion of efficient electricity consumption through the provision of a triple platform shared by partner Energy Agencies, which integrates the following components: Energy Atlas, Collaborative Platform and Web-Market-Place.
Creation of Agencies Consortium
Intelligent Energy EuropeBetween 2007 and 2010, S.ENERGIA led the consortium implementing four energy agencies in Portugal, Malta, Italy, and Romania under the Intelligent Energy Europe program. During this period, the main long-term objectives of the four energy agencies were established.
