The intangible measure "Energy NoteBook – A tool for energy management and optimization in buildings", intends to create a roadmap for the energy efficiency of buildings supported by an Information and Interaction Platform, which contains the definition of a set of processes and methodologies, as well as informational, physical and IT resources. It corresponds to an intangible measure that will be nominated for competition by promoters that are not companies in the electricity or gas sector.

The Energy Notebook It is also a measure aimed at providing municipalities and other entities that manage service buildings with a standardized tool for energy management, promoting energy efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making. It is intended to have a strong impact on reducing energy waste in buildings, both in the short and long term, contributing to maximizing their energy performance.

The existence of this global management tool will allow for predictable, timely, and planned action in buildings, while optimizing the operation of technical installations, monitoring their performance, correcting deviations in projected energy consumption, and helping to develop a long-term energy efficiency policy with tangible results.

This measure also aims to demonstrate and materialize the concept of energy efficiency and how to apply it to the reality of existing infrastructures.

The platform to be implemented seeks to fill the existing gap in common energy consumption monitoring tools. These tools produce an exhaustive amount of information, but do not relate it to the specific operation or use of a building or its component equipment, and are unable to correct or optimize its operation when necessary by acting on the variables that influence its behavior. This dynamically acting tool, by achieving this in a timely manner, will contribute to the aforementioned materialization of the concept of energy efficiency.
